No certificates or certification required. Either a donor, sponsor, or just a member, this includes supporters such as suppliers, media, etc.

Anyone can be a member of ICTC. There is a small admin fee of $49US for 12 months. The benefits of ICTC membership include:

Certified Courtesy Coach© (CPCC) Certificate Program

Overview of the ICTC validate Courtesy Coach® program:

  • The Courtesy Coach® Program is designed for caregivers, teachers, consultants and others who want to teach children ages 4-18 social skills, etiquette and confidence. The program includes scaffolding curriculum for the various age groups covering everything from dress and decorum to table manners to party etiquette and greetings for very young children all the way through to confidence and self-esteem for youth and conversation skills, dating etiquette, job interview skills and advanced communication for teens.
  • The program includes live or distance training, ongoing coaching with an assigned mentor, Leader’s scripts, participant masters with answer keys, access to online MannersTV, and additional supports.
  • Estimated 100 hours to complete certification; a certificate of completion for core training is provided to trainees after 40 hours of LIVE training or completion of the online certificate course.
  • To achieve full certification, trainees are asked to:
    • Complete required reading
    • Provide evidence of additional hours of study completed in related program, e.g., public speaking, entrepreneurship, child-care related topics, marketing etc. (hours applied to the 100-125-hour requirement)
    • Provide evidence of minimum 2 unpaid training sessions for children
    • Provide evidence of minimum 3 paid training sessions related to the Courtesy Coach curriculum
    • Provide 3 business and/or personal references- excluding family.
    • Successful completion of an interview with an ICTC Board member
    • Publish – either a whitepaper, 5000 words combined media and/or print or a book minimum 40,000 words, (may not be self-published)
    • Pass with 85% or higher a 150-question multiple-choice, open book, online exam in a designated 24-hour period

Certified Civility Trainer© (CCT) Certificate Program

Overview of the ICTC validate Certified Civility Trainer (CCT®) program:

  • The Certified Civility Trainer® Program is designed for business professionals, Human Resource generalists, business owners, professional trainers, consultants, image and impression coaches and anyone starting a soft skills training business. The program includes proven ready-to-use curriculum for adults from ages 18+ with a focus on business and workplace applications. Materials cover everything from general business etiquette, dress and decorum, table manners and networking to advanced communication skills, civility competencies including social intelligence, cultural competence, systems thinking, and continuous learning. 
  • The program includes live or distance training, ongoing coaching with an assigned mentor, Leader’s scripts, participant masters with answer keys, access to online MannersTV, and additional supports.
  • Estimated 200 hours to complete certification; a certificate of completion for core training is provided to trainees after 40 hours of LIVE training or completion of the online certificate course.
  • To achieve full certification, trainees are asked to:
    • Complete required reading
    • Provide evidence of additional hours of study completed in related program, e.g., public speaking, entrepreneurship, child-care related topics, marketing etc. (hours applied to the 200 hour requirement)
    • Provide evidence of minimum 2 unpaid training sessions for adults (may not be the same topic)
    • Provide evidence of minimum 3 paid training sessions related to the Civility at Work curriculum
    • Provide 3 business and/or personal references- excluding family.
    • Successful completion of an interview with an ICTC Board member

HighStyle Certified Impression Management Professional (CIMP)

The HighStyle Certified Impression Management Professional Designation is a one of a kind certification program that incorporates four skills aspects which in combination prepare graduates to offer a comprehensive portfolio of services related to impression management. The course is divided into four sub-sections including HighStyle Stylist, HighStyle Speaker, HIghStyle Performer and HighStyle Professional. 

Requirements for certification:

  • 40 hours training; 10 hours in each of four required skill areas
  • 8 hours additional training related to building your business
  • Special Assignment (choose from 1 of 3 options)
  • References and evidence of 3 paid training or service deliveries
  • ICTC endorsed exam (100 questions; 8 hours; open book)

This comprehensive program is focused on Cultural Competence which can be defined as interacting successfully in diverse settings due to knowledge, skills and abilities that foster growth and effectiveness while leveraging and building on differences. The program has been devised to help business owners, recruitment officers, Human Resource professionals, civility trainers, workplace coaches, conflict specialists and others who strive to build cooperation and collaboration in diverse settings- predominately workplaces.

Culture Coaches:

  • Assist organization’s in recruiting and retaining a skilled, diverse workforce
  • Provide work teams and/or clients with cultural information, protocol or business etiquette details to help increase your international market share?

I Choose Civility© Certificate Program

All over the country people are talking about the lack of civility in our communities, schools, workplaces, and in the public forum. Incivility impacts our ability to live and work well together and it affects our health, our productivity and our relationships. It’s time for change! Master Certified Civility Trainer©

Due to the comprehensive, and in-depth nature of this credential which enables consultants, business owners, and coaches to present themselves as bona fide experts in a niche expertise field which encompasses civility, presentation skills, professionalism, leadership, social intelligence and cultural competence, this is a certification that is difficult to achieve but well-respected globally. To achieve ICTC Master Certified Civility Trainer status, the following is required:

  • Completion/achievement of minimum 2 ICTC certificate programs. You may choose from: ICIP, CPCC, PCT, YPCT, CCT, CIMP, CSCT, ECEP, and PCIP. And effective January 2018, the Golden Rule Civility Stateman Certificate will also be eligible.
  • Evidence of minimum 5 years field expertise in a related/associated profession and minimum 5 years in civility-oriented work specifically
  • Completion of ICTC Master Trainer exam; 300 questions open book, 24 hours to complete.
  • Successful ICTC committee endorsement e.g., via interview
  • Evidence of minimum 20 civility presentations
  • Minimum 6 written client references
  • Published book – may not be self-published, minimum 40,000 words; must be published within 4 years of ICTC Master status application
